The whole process was awful. The product wasn’t in stock when I ordered it (I was only notified after I purchased) which I was informed would cause a delay. The product could then not be located by the local couriers so they were unable to let me know when I could expect the product. I was then informed that there was likely to be an additional customs tax on the product, the total sum of which the seller could not give. I was reassured that it would be a small cost. Once the product was finally shipped, it took a lot longer than was expected again and the seller also expected that I would chase up the order once it was in the UK. I received notification from the UK post that the customs tax to release the product was £40- an additional expensive cost. The quality of the rug is poor- it looks cheap and is rubbed up in patches.

We apologise that your order was not in stock and our supplier then misplaced the delivery causing further delay. However, we made sure you were informed every step of the way. We pointed out that the UK customs may cause even more delays. We asked if this was ok and offered you a full refund but you said you were happy to wait. As per Etsy's guidelines, we are not expected to calculate the customs fees. At no point did we suggest that it was going to be a small cost. We kept track of your order once shipped and asked if you could check with your local post office when it did not arrive. It turned out that customs did hold your item but failed to send you the notification. As for the quality of the rug, it is a handmade product and thus will have variations and shed a little. These were explained in our listing & photos.
