Heart in Bloom Motif Pattern. Instant digital download.
Flowers and Hearts - a perfect match!
This pattern came about when I was playing around with a small heart pattern I found. I wanted to make it bigger so I could use it to make some bunting and I thought a flower in the centre would look cute - and it turned out even better than I imagined!
This pattern is for Part 1 - the Heart in Bloom Motif.
Part 2 - the Heart in Bloom Square, which is a continuation of this pattern, in available at the link below. You need both patterns to complete the square.
This is a lovely motif for use as bunting like I’ve done, as a large appliqué for a bag, blanket or jumper or other decoration. It looks great in 2 contrasting colours as it really makes the flower pop, though it would look equally lovely all in one colour.
The pattern uses a variety of techniques including clusters and taller stitches - though tutorial links, photos and a chart make it accessible for advanced beginners looking for a small challenge or who can't resist these super sweet hearts! Must be able to read a written pattern.

Easy to follow instructions and make up quickly. Have made one in various shades of pink with a light sparkly grey from my stash and planning a rainbow version also. Then, having bought part 2 aswell, I’ll make a baby blanket for a friend’s grand daughter. Really versatile pattern. Very happy with it.
This is an amazing pattern with well written instructions and lots of pics. There are stitch counts at the end of each row which makes it easier to check for accuracy. The edging on the heart is quite different. Just Be sure to use the larger hook for this if you are turning the heart into a square or at least work looser stitches. It also has a very nice chart. Great pattern!
Really great pattern, so many amazing resources and a new way of changing colours which I am so thankful to now know. Can't wait to make many many crochet hearts :)
