I bought it as an earring for the 3rd hole in the earlobe, unfortunately the bar was too thick and it was not comfortable plus it was too long so I don'tt recommend wearing it there. Generally it was nice and there was no problem with screwing. Unfortunately I can't say anything about allergic reaction as I don't wear it.
