The ‘Great Composer’ series of cross stitch patterns came about some years ago when I was learning piano and both my children were learning music at school (keyboard, trombone, violin and flute). I didn’t continue with the piano - yes, I know.... silly me:(, but I still love the Great Composers and piano. I’d like to think I will get back to learning piano again one day, but that’s another story😊 I stitched and framed a series of three composers for both my children for pressies and it just grew from there.
Each composer comes in what I think of as a ‘Full Size’ version and a ‘Half Size’ version. Each ‘Full Size’ pattern comes in 4 ‘modern’ colour-ways and each ‘Half Size’ version comes in 4 monochromatic
colour-ways.
Each pattern uses 4 colours, whole cross stitches only with a touch of backstitch for the Composers’ names.
Each of the patterns in this series will be available on my Etsy shop in both the 'Full Size' version and the ‘Half Size’ version. Each pattern finished and framed would suit being displayed on a bookshelf, desk, on top of a piano or as a feature set on a wall. The exact finished size of the stitching varies from design to design and will also vary depending on the 'count' of the fabric you use. The exact size of the stitched design in three different 'counts' of fabric is shown on the ‘Key’ image.
I am currently in the process of stitching a combination of ‘Half Size’ Composers in a grid format in a combination of the various colour-ways. The grid itself will be stitched in ‘Blackwork’ patterns. More on that further down the track:)
In total, there will be about 18 Composer patterns, each in ‘Full Size’ and ‘Half Size’ - each in
4 colour-ways.
Instructions for completing Cross Stitch are included with each pattern.
Please be aware you are purchasing a Cross Stitch pattern along with Cross Stitch instructions to complete the embroidery yourself. You are not purchasing a completed item. Framing shown in photograph is to give you an idea of what the completed design will look like finished and framed.
