This hand-stitched, one-of-a-kind mixed media bookmark was made by Tansy of Pendlerook Designs. Following in a tradition of crazy quilting, Tansy's pieces include combinations of patchwork, embroidery, fabric collage etc.
"Queen of Hearts" uses Kawaii fabric scraps, lace, quilting cotton, embroidery thread, velvet and ribbon as well as a bronze-toned charm featuring the White Rabbit of Alice's Adventures In Wonderland (1865) in his royal livery.
The reverse side is open-backed, showing the underside of the stitches, because a little chaos can be a beautiful thing.
Length: 15cm or 6 inches approx.
