Description

Egg Hunt Blanket. Adjustable size. Instant digital download.

As a Mum, my favourite part of Easter (besides chocolate for breakfast) is the Easter Egg hunt with my son.

I love hiding the eggs and then watching the complete joy on his face every time he finds one!
It's one of those moments of pure joy that simultaneously takes me back to childhood and makes me feels completely happy with my life in this moment.

So, in celebration of the egg hunt and childhood, I have designed this cute little Easter blanket to look like colourful eggs lined up on the grass just waiting to be picked up and gobbled up!

The blanket pictured is a mini blanket, made for my son’s baby (who is named Baby!) but I have included the starting count for making a larger blanket and the multiples so you can make it as large or small as you like.
You could even make a table runner or pillow to decorate your home this Easter.

Level: Easy
Suitable for a beginner who is comfortable following a pattern, chains, slip stitches, single, half double and double crochet.
Includes tutorial links and photo tutorial to assist with those new to some of the techniques used.

You'll need:
8ply (DK) cotton yarn, ~150m (60g) for the mini blanket.
I've used Bendigo Woollen Mills 8ply cotton in Honeydew, Pink Rose, Daffodil, and Arctic colourways.
4 mm (G) hook
*You can use any yarn for this pattern with an appropriate hook though the finished size will vary. Like a chunky yarn or multiple coloured strands held together to make a chunky yarn....!!!

Finished size:
Mini blanket : 26.5 cm (10 1/2 in) tall, 30 cm (12 in) wide

Starting stitch count and repeats also given for a Lap Blanket (100 cm (39 in) x 120 cm (47 in)), 2 variations of a Table Runner (175 cm (69 in) x 30 cm (12 in)) and a Cushion cover (45 cm (17 3/4 in) square).

Included in this 13 page PDF pattern:
17 tutorial photos
6 other photos
American English crochet terms used throughout.
Crocheted in rows.
Multiples included so the pattern is easy to customise to desired size.
Starting stitch count and repeats for various projects.
Clear concise written instructions with a layout designed to make it easy to follow and not lose your place.
Landscape layout that looks good on a laptop, tablet or phone (simply zoom in on half the page on your smart phone to see the pattern clearly in portrait mode).
Links to 3 tutorials to help with the special stitches.

Please note that this is a downloadable, printable PDF version of a pattern that is available for free on my blog. Though this paid version includes extra information that is not available on the blog.

I love this pattern! I've made 3 so far and with each of my attempts they're looking better and better! I'm a learning as I go along, which is why I'm making mistakes. But each time I make less because I understand more now and the instructions are very clear. I truly appreciate the step by step photo tutorials included! I'm using "I Love This Cotton Yarn" from Hobby Lobby as it's my current favorite and it works out well in my opinion. Grab this pattern!

I have never crocheted a heart in a granny square and thought this pattern would be cute to add to my collection for afghans.
