Tasmania: the littlest state in Australia and the one that I call home. This part of the world is renowned for its natural beauty, and with this souvenir postcard, you can tell people just how OK your Tasmanian move, visit, or upbringing is going.
Real talk: I found the image of the house on a printing ornament in the letterpress studio, likely used for a commercial printing job in the 60s or 70s. Houses like this are ubiquitous, unremarkable, and wholly Australian. I created these prints out of nothing but affection for my home state.
This is a limited print run on A6 postcards. The text is printed in turquoise ink & black ink on 100% cotton paper, using vintage metal type on a cylinder bed press.
(Just to be clear: this is not a digital print! You'll know it as soon as you see – and feel – this mini-print.)
Each card is sealed in a cello sleeve (with recycled boxboard backing) for protection in transit.

Unique item that I feel lucky to have found. I own an artwork of many colors that has been a vexing puzzle to design around. This item's subdued colors and seashell textures complement it magically and have changed my view of the room I put it in.
