Crochet Pattern. Sundae Cardigan.
Digital file type(s): 2 PDF
I loooove this cardigan!
Honestly I wear it every chance I get, as it is so comfy and the colours never fail to make me smile.
The puff stitch colours were inspired by a blanket by the lovely Kate of @jellybean_junction and they make me think of ice cream with sprinkles. Plus this is a perfect Sunday brunch friendly item, so I’ve named this the Sundae Cardigan.
With wide, short sleeves and an open front this is a perfect layering piece that won’t hinder your ability to go about your day whilst still keeping you cosy.
Pop it on over a t-shirt and jeans, tank top and shorts or a cute dress and you’re ready to take on the day with style.
So pick your fave base colour (grey for me all the way), 5 colours that make you smile and get crocheting.

I’m pretty new to crocheting and this is the biggest project I’ve taken on yet. All the stitches in this pattern were new to me but the instructions and links provided were detailed and thorough. This is a great pattern and I learned a ton while working it. Thank you!
This is an unusual pattern and really needs your full attention. If your stitches are just slightly off, it becomes very confusing. I printed out the pattern (23 pages), and that helped for some reason. The pattern is expertly written and includes a ton of images plus stitch count for each row. At one point the row is divided in half is unusual and for some reason gets me confused. Every good design has mirror stitches, especially for a heart so it helps to keep that in mind. There are pieces of a chart with pics. The whole thing is so interesting and works up so pretty. Bottom line, it is so worth the effort. I really LOVE this pattern. This is a brilliant designer!
Mikaela is a very kind lady, I reached out to her regarding her beautiful heart square pattern as the repeats challenged me. She sent me detailed instructions and I was able to complete a gorgeous square. She cared so much about my struggle with it she said I could reach out her anytime for help. It's rare to find people that really make that extra effort. I will be purchasing more patterns from her and I urge you to do the same. The patterns are unique and beautiful! a work of art for sure. Thank you so much Makaela!
Easy to follow instructions and make up quickly. Have made one in various shades of pink with a light sparkly grey from my stash and planning a rainbow version also. Then, having bought part 2 aswell, I’ll make a baby blanket for a friend’s grand daughter. Really versatile pattern. Very happy with it.
