The history of this handicraft goes back to more than 300 years. The mosaic industry reflects the introduction of mother-of-pearl into particles of different types of wood such as walnut, rose and beech. And it depends mainly on the craftsman’s imagination in inlaying wood and transforming it into artistic forms of drawings and geometric shapes such as octagon, square, hexagon and triangle, where the wood is spread into small ones that form in its composition a group of different types and colors of them in the form of slices that combine to form the desired shape.
