The Cendre Top is zero waste. The pattern comes in 12 sizes, to fit an 87cm/34" bust to a 142cm/56", and can be made in bigger sizes if needed.

It's designed for 110cm/43" wide woven fabrics such as cotton lawn, Liberty Tana lawn, quilting cotton, broiderie anglaise, poplin and chambray. Light, crisp fabrics work very well. It can also be made in warmer fabrics such as babycord and soft cotton drill.

The top features balloon sleeves, optional bust darts and pulls on over the head. It has a tie neckline with options for a frill neck or a boat neck.

By adding a simple dirndl skirt (instructions included), you have a two piece dress. The skirt is gathered onto a waistband, has two side pockets and a back zip. It can be made any size.

Please note this is a DIGITAL sewing pattern, NOT a physical product.

The instructions consist of 19 pages divided into 2 files (pages 1-3 and 4-19). There are no pattern pieces to print out and tape together; the pieces are drawn straight onto the fabric according to the written instructions.

The instructions are in metric and imperial.

Super clear instructions, comprehensive measurement information. Great intro to zero waste sewing! I used the offcuts to make a hip gusset instead of as support for the sleeves.

Fabulous pattern, great instruction and a joy to make. I extended it a little into low waste, re-orientating the layout so the grain was ideal for the body and using the boat neck option I added a ‘funnel’ roll neck collar.

Clear instructions, great illustrations, and I didn't even have to print out a pattern! I'm so thrilled with my shirt-I finished it in one day and plan to wear it tomorrow! I deviated from the design a little bit so that it was low waste instead of no waste, but I got a lovely modern shift out of the pattern and used some of my scraps to make ties for the sleeves. Will make again, will buy more patterns. I'm in love!
