This illustration features a male Superb Fairy Wren, distinguished by its rich blue and black plumage above and on the throat. The belly is grey-white and the bill is black. They feed on insects and other small arthropods caught mostly on the ground, but may also be taken from low bushes. New research has revealed that males sing to their eggs and their chicks come out recognising their parent’s unique song.

Lisa’s watercolor portrait of my two feline brothers, Stanley and Cheddar, is incredibly beautiful. She completely captured their personalities. We lost both of them to heart disease over the last three years,so this portrait is very precious to us.
