Heather Calderon was born August 21st, 1977 in Milford, Delaware to Pamela Sue Tolly-Padilla, and Victor Martin Padilla. She was the youngest sibling of two older sisters, Laurie and Lynea. At 7 months old, Heather's parents decided to move to Longmont Colorado, where they would be closer to Victor's family who are from New Mexico. At age 3, Heather started playing the piano by ear, picking out classical music her parents listened to, and also drawing, (spirals mostly). She developed these two talents, art and music, equally until age sixteen, when she felt limited in her ability as a classically trained pianist and let the visual art become her main passion. She has been able to evolve artistically over the years, always being self taught, while raising two children, Veronica and Marcos since her early twenties. Heather has held a commercial art business since 2001, allowing her to have an abundance of art supplies, and further building her skill of painting. Heather enjoys living life and creating paintings as she feels inspired at the time, usually listening to techno/progressive house music in the background. She still plays the piano and sings popular songs, using music as another creative outlet that fuels her paintings. Her goal is to evolve to her highest potential as an artist, a mother and a friend.
