I am a metalsmith and artist living + working in the foothills of New York's Catskill Mountains. I am primarily self taught, though did begin this journey with a summer "Intro to Metals" course at MECA in Portland, Maine in 2006. I fell in love instantly and began crafting my own studio practice and style thereafter. I consider myself to be a maker through + through. Raised in a family of artists and taught from an early age the joy of creating without reservation, I went on to study Studio Art at Drew University and have taught many art camps + classes for kids, prior to discovering metals. I became a mom to an amazing, wild little girl 4 years ago and have managed to keep my studio practice alive in whatever cracks of free time I can manage. It's a bit of life source, as most artists will agree....without a creative outlet, my life doesn't feel in balance. I recently moved to a home where my studio is now on the property and I couldn't be happier.
