How much can I build with 1kg of Clay?
Our step-by-step guide will walk you through the key steps to create a Mug, but you can apply the same instructions to any other shape you have in mind!
1 kg of clay is enough to build
- 2 tea size mugs
- 4 or 6 espresso mugs
- 2 small plates (dessert plate) or platters
- 1 dinner plate
- 2 small vases (like the blue one pictured on the listing)
What can I build with the Pottery Kit?

Can I choose the colour of my work?
Absolutely, yes!
If you want a water-resistant functional piece, you will need to fire using a local firing service. Our step-by-step guide will give you all the information you need to fire your item correctly, so you don't need to worry about it just yet!
You will also be able to buy any "Glaze (ceramic paint)" on any colour you want in your local pottery shop (where you will get your pieces fired!) so you have freedom to choose what colours and style will work well with your work!

What colour is the clay that comes in the Pottery Kit?
Its final colour is "off-white" with speckles on it - and it looks absolutely stunning after fired, even if you don't apply any glaze on it!
