Art and creating has been an early obsession of mine from a very early age(infant school) always wanting to create and share the craft items that I made. This early interest lead me to follow a path full of creativity covering varied works such as Antique Re upholstery, fashion that included pattern making and tailoring, construction of garments. This took me to Amsterdam as the right had of my friend who was employed as a soft furnishing/ stylist. My Art has been multi disciplined, hence taking so long in being consistent series throughout my wild experimentation's with paint everywhere. A graphic design course help t to straighten that out for a while, but lacked the soul. For me, craft has always had a warmth to it. I appreciate the home made items (Made with Love) I enjoy sharing regional exhibitions in a collaborative space. My greatest passion has been enjoying the enthusiasm with others.
In 2010 I decided to direct my creative passions to a serious course of technical and visual concept training. This gave me the ability to collect awards and have numerous solo and collaborative exhibitions over the years. Launching my shop on Etsy allows me to share my limited unique series of works in a printed format with beginners and advanced art appreciators.

Artist Statement
for the recent uploaded cards that I have printed from my Collaged exhibition.
A nice lady bought a card for her sister and I assured her that my artist statement was here. I thought it was so I shall type it here:
The intro goes: About the artist
Jacqueline Marks grew up in the north of England, Immigrated to Australia twenty three years ago and is now a resident of Middle Pocket (Hinterland/ Byron Shire) She has exhibited in group and solo shows regionally. Her art practice extends accross multiple disciplines. Music is expressed within her art. A visual representation of music , so to speak.

What inspired the artist?
Jacqueline believes vibration underpins all matter in the universe, thus her appreciation of music, cymatics, geometry and notions of unified physics has informed recent themes within her work. Her choice of harmonious colour and shapes represent an essence of harmonic universal principles and music perception. Jacqueline is fascinated by the ancient philosophical concepts of portions, the planetary spheres and acoustic principles of the golden ratio expressed in design and sacred buildings around the world. This series of work incorporates pionola scrolls to draw upon the interplay between CODED PATTERNS required in the creation of music, sacred Geometry and mystical cathedrals (including their tilling patterns) . She is influenced by the coincidence of the relationship between the Visual cymatic patterning and the orbital patterns recorded over time within the solar system. The earth and Venus dance of an eight year span creates some beautiful 'Spirograph ' like patterns as as if to create The shape of sound vibration. Many planetary partnerships have been expressed with the understanding of Phi and Fibonacci ratios. This can be witnessed for example within the mapping out of the two largest moons of Jupiter that draw a perfect fourfold flower.(little Wooden Books-Coincidence)
The predominantly subdued tones of colours relay a low key melody and the brighter colours express a jovial tone . The collaged works offer the viewer an insight into Jacqueline's lite sense of creative play
within this complex field of study.
