Waar komt Atomic Ant Design vandaan?
Misschien is het dat ik mijn eigen trouwjurk en al het decor op onze bruiloft heb gemaakt. Misschien komt het omdat mijn man zei: "Atomic Ant Design zou een geweldige naam zijn voor een bedrijf - weet je, als je er een had". Misschien komt het omdat ik alle mooie dingen die ik kan maken met jullie wil delen.
Wat ook de reden is - de oorsprong van Atomic Ant Design kan complex zijn - de producten zijn dat niet.
Ik ben opgegroeid in het kleine stadje Nieuw-Zeeland. Opgevoed door mijn moeder - een vrouw die zo sterk is als ze komen - en papa - een meester-patroonmaker (de soort gieten en mallen maken).
Met inspiraties als zij had ik geen seconde meer om naar de grote stad te verhuizen om Design te studeren. Mijn Honours degree in Industrieel ontwerp heeft mijn creatieve geest gevormd, mijn kritisch denken en misschien wel het belangrijkste, mijn behoefte om het gewone buitengewoon te maken!
Ik hoop dat mijn producten je creatieve inspiratie geven om ze je eigen te maken, je eigen ideeën aan te vullen en spectaculaire herinneringen te creëren. Het zijn de details die tellen voor je eigen speciale evenementen.

Where did Atomic Ant Design come from?
Maybe it is that I made my own wedding dress & all the decor at our wedding. Maybe it’s because my husband said “Atomic Ant Design would be a great name for a company - you know, if you had one”. Maybe it's because I want to share with you all the pretty things I can make.
What ever the reason - The origins of Atomic Ant Design might be complex - its products are not.
I grew up in small town New Zealand. Brought up by my Mum - a woman who is as strong as they come - & Dad - a master pattern maker (the casting & mould making kind).
With inspirations like them I had no second thoughts about moving to the big city to study Design. My Honours degree in Industrial design has shaped my creative mind, my critical thinking and perhaps most importantly, my need to make the ordinary extraordinary!
I hope my products give you creative inspiration to make them your own, to complement your own ideas and create spectacular memories. It’s the details that count for your own special events.
