About

From our farm - with love

Wendy started Beersheba Drysdales in 2002 to preserve the Drysdale breed. The family had had Drysdales as a commercial flock for many years but numbers in the country had been dwindling fast. Presently, Beersheba Drysdales is the only registered flock of Drysdales left in the world (there are still "unregistered" studs in NZ). The flock book is administered by the Australian Stud Sheep Breeders Association.

The farm also runs commercial superfine merino ewes (17-19micron) and various crossbreds. Alpacas also feature on-farm as fibre-producers and flock protection.

With so much fibre available on-farm suitable for spinning and other crafts Wendy would like to offer other woolcraft people the chance to buy direct from the producer.

    Owner

Involved with sheep and wool all her life, Wendy took over the running of the farm in 2002. Learning to do more with the wonderful fibres produced on farm has led her to take up spinning, dyeing, felting and weaving.

    Wool Grower

Caroline was the 2012 Supreme Champion Drysdale at the Australian Sheep & Wool Show. Every day she eats grass, grows wool and has an important place on the farm.

Shipping
I ship using Australia Post for domestic and International orders. I will refund any excess above the cost of packaging and shipping that may have been paid.
Items will be shipped to your nominated address, typically within 3-5 days of receiving payment in Australia.

Some smaller orders or items may be vacuum packed for shipping purposes. This is not usually a problem just open the packet as soon as you receive it and it will spring back into life.

Items will be shipped using standard Australian postage rates. Postage is always combined when multiple items are purchased.

If you need your item(s) shipped to a different address, please specify that clearly in the 'Notes to Seller' section at checkout or convo me as well.

All international shipping is via Australia Post as well, please allow 10 - 21 depending on weather and delays which occur. Most arrive around the 10 - 14 days.

Expedited shipping and insurance may be available by special arrangement - just ask for pricing info.

I try to ship promptly but this may vary during busy peak times or due to payments being delayed. Insurance is not included in postage rates.

Buyer is responsible for any duty or customs fees, and all items will be marked as merchandise on customs forms. If multiple orders from the same buyer are received those orders may be combined to save packaging. If you do not wish to have orders combined, please specify this during checkout.
