How did Bits of Blue Co come to be?
Back in August of 2019, my husband and I purchased a GlowForge laser and began a small laser business locally along with help from my mother. We sold at many craft shows during the fall and holiday season. Then, we were invited to sell in a local store and on a Facebook page with over 200,000 followers. Business was great during the pandemic and we stayed busy shipping orders all across the US. Fast forward a few years later, my husband passed away and I am slowly rebranding the business while working full time and taking care of our son. We just upgraded to a larger, more powerful laser and are excited for new items to come!
I chose the name Bits of Blue Co because blue is my favorite color. BOB (short for Bits of Blue) was also my father's name. A bird is shown in the logo as birds were my grandmother's favorite thing. My entire family is crafty, but I feel like my grandmother lead the way for the rest of us. I have fond memories of her being in her sewing room making blankets for the family or clothing for her geese.
