For as long as I can remember, Halloween was my holiday. I spent so much time picking my costume, often conning my mom into buying me two and switching out on Halloween. As I got older, I got pickier and pickier, needing more than the regular department store costume that rips just by yelling at it. I went to thrift stores, Goodwill, and shops like that so I could make my own costume, and I did that for years. I ran into some problems; you can only buy so much. So I learned to craft, sew, draw; every hobby you can think of I have collected! One Halloween during COVID, I decided I wanted to be my favorite character from my favorite TV show, Eddie Munson from Stranger Things. I couldn't find his vest, and that was not acceptable, so I made one. I spent hours and hours researching, searching, watching videos, and finally gave it a shot. I made it so well, I was asked 15-20 times in one night at Midsummer Scream, so I decided to make some more and see if I could sell them. I could, and I sold so many, it earned me enough to start a full shop. A few years later, I still have orders for the vest, and I'm working to have more merch and my own website and platform; in the long term, I would love to open a physical shop and create a place for all of us freaks and fans to chill and shop one-of-a-kind cosplays items and original merch, as well as a collective of merch from other small business artists.
