About CabochonsAustralia

Sales 41
On Etsy since 2018

Addicted to Cabochons & Cameos!!

I have been making and selling my jewelry since about 2010. At the start I was making jewelry for myself as I didn't like what was available in the shops. Over time friends, colleagues and strangers saw my jewelry and started asking me to make custom pieces for them as well, and a cottage business was born.

I built myself a website https://www.cabochons.com.au & have been selling directly through that, but like many cottage businesses marketing is rather difficult & time consuming. A friend suggested Etsy as an option to get my jewellery 'out there' and a couple of months ago I made the Etsy plunge and that is how you find me here.

I hope you like my jewelry as much as I enjoy making and wearing it. I don't 'mass produce' anything, rather I focus on making unique and different pieces so you can be assured that you are not going to see your necklace walking down the street on the neck of another person.

As I live in a hot climate, I tend to utilise a lot of cord, ribbons, ropes etc for my 'chain' as it just feels more comfortable when you are wearing it on a hot day and I have found it to be more durable as you can wash the necklace cord if it gets all sweaty (gross but true).
I also tend to use resin cameos as they are more durable and won't colour fade over time.
I also like to make necklace pieces that feel lightweight so I can put it on and not think about it until I'm ready to take it off.

If you like what you see in shop, please take a second to give me a like, or favourite the pieces that you like. Every 'click' is appreciated. Thanks for reading, Cinna
