HANDMADE FOR THE ADVENTUROUS...
THE NAME \\
The origin of Cold Stream Design Co. begins in 1969, when Bryce's family began building "The Cabin" in Cold Stream Valley. Located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Truckee, CA, the extended Poulin family spent over a decade hand building the cabin in the summer months. Using trees fell on property and other resources, "The Cabin" was born. The Cabin became a place unlike any other. It is a place where Bryce's family spent time together; a place where Bryce fell in love with the outdoors; a place Bryce's family built with a vision and their hands. The Cabin, it's location, and family roots, inspired the Cold Stream Design Co. name, and center piece logo of The Cabin. The Cabin and Cold Stream Valley have been a major influence in Bryce's life and aligned perfectly with his passion and love of building and creating.
THE ORIGINS \\
Bryce Poulin and his two-older brothers grew up working for their father Tom's welding and blacksmith business. It was there where he learned the craft of metal work fabrication. This work sparked his loved for creating and designing, which he later expanded through discovery of new materials and techniques to make one-of-a-kind items for his own home. In 2019, Cold Stream Design Co. was born and opened for business in early 2020.
