Announcement    Hi everyone,

Due to COVID 19, sending and receiving parcels takes a loooooong time right now.

Yes South Australia is a COVID "safe" zone, but measures still need to be in place, and that includes posting things.

Because of this, I regret to say that I can't guarantee that anything bought from my Craftily Recycled shop from today (October 24th, 2020) will arrive at your place in time for Christmas. As much as this upsets me to post, it would upset me more if something was bought from me as a Christmas present and didn't arrive on time.

Maybe I should start working on Easter ideas? 🤔😜

To end on a positive - I have been sorting through my mega stash of reclaimed beads and broken jewellery again! So keep an eye out for not just my trees, but beads, vintage jewellery, bulk jewellery bits best for craft, costume jewellery, and more!

Basically anything I've gotten in a bulk purchase that I can't find a use for, but meets the Etsy guidelines, will be put for sale here. Things that don't meet their guidelines will be sold via a well known online auction site. 😉

And, YES! I am still accepting commissions, so feel free to ask about those too.

I have my fingers crossed that the world will be COVID-19 free soon, and pray that you're all keeping safe and staying home as much as you can.

Much love, Janis Craftily Recycled.

This is me so far...

So these are some of my first ever pieces. Either given as gifts to friends and family, or commissioned by friends and family for others.

I started making reclaimed jewellery trees of life as mental health therapy. I'd had a very long, serious bought of depression and didn't feel I was useful for anything. Then, one a whim, after wandering about Pinterest I decided to give beading/ wire weaving a go. I'd always avoided beading and wire weaving, as I knew I'd get addicted. And, yup, I did!

But I'm happy now. I love my pieces, other people love my pieces too. I've sold them in charity auctions, exchanged them for more broken/ reclaimed jewellery, given them as gifts. They are literally in people's homes all over the world - though mostly in the UK, USA, and here in Australia.

And now I'm "that beading lady" I am sent/ given more and more beads and reclaimed jewellery all the time. To the point I'm now going to start selling my excess beads and "too god to be destroyed" vintage pieces here.

I also make rag rugs from my family's old clothes that are too dead to donate. I've made rugs, table runners, cushions. All woven or knitted. One day I hope to move into rag rug yoga mats as they feel so nice on your bare feet.

So here I am, I'm a craftily recycled lover who wants to make old things into new things, and cut down on exactly how many useful items we throw into landfill.

Will you help me?
