About

The play of light, color, textures, and shapes that changed with each season intrigued me.

From an early age I was fascinated by the constantly transforming landscape. The play of light, color, textures, and shapes that changed with each season intrigued me. The natural cycles of life absorbed and connected me to the universe. Creating with stained glass brings closer to the outdoors, especially with my stained glass wind chimes and glass beads. The sounds of glass clinking and light passing through the colored glass and also the landscape surrounding the wind chime. Fill me with delight and peace.

My spiritual journey led me to Reiki. In 2008, I became a Reiki Master/Teacher. Reiki is spiritually guided Universal Life Force Energy. The word Reiki is Japanese in origin and literally means: Rei=Universal (in the sense of spiritually guided or from the Divine); Ki = Life Force Energy through one’s body to one’s self, to another for healing purposes or infusing my art making. Energy work is done by using the hands. Love is Universal Life Energy.

My logo is in honor of my Mom who died in 1917. Mom loved elephants and this art piece of mine she hung on the wall by her phone in her house.
Not many years ago during a visit to my Mom's, she had an article from a magazine how to create your own wind chime. So, we embarked on this project together to create a wind chime with glass beads. Off we went to Michaels the Craft and Art Store and then the Hardware Store to buy all the supplies needed to assemble the windchime. We had so much fun measuring, cutting and assembling the windchime. It is a warm memory in my heart! I give love, light and blessings to Mom and dedicate the inspiration of Duffy Roads Stained Glass Wind Chimes to her. For she was the light of my life.
