Ho iniziato a lavorare all'uncinetto da bambino. Ogni animale di peluche aveva piccoli colletti all'uncinetto e le mie bambole avevano spesso coperte quadrate della nonna.

Non ho lavorato molto all'uncinetto durante le scuole medie e superiori, solo una presina qua o là secondo necessità, ma al college ho trovato che fosse un hobby produttivo mentre aspettavo le lezioni. Mi sono attaccato principalmente a pezzi piatti come coperte o sciarpe.

Sono passati un paio d'anni e ho trovato Pinterest e ho provato alcuni modelli e me ne sono innamorato.

Il vero punto di svolta nel mio mestiere è stato mentre tentavo un modello di maglione per cani. La circonferenza era giusta, ma avevo bisogno di più lunghezza, quindi sono andato fuori dal modello e mi sono arrangiato. Sono stato così ispirato dai risultati che da allora ho lavorato all'uncinetto "a braccio" e ne ho amato ogni minuto.

I started crocheting as a young child. Every stuffed animal had little crocheted collars and my dolls often had granny square blankets.

I didn't crochet much through middle and high school, just a pot holder here or there as needed, but in college I found it to be a productive hobby while waiting for classes. I mainly stuck to flat pieces like blankets or scarves.

A couple years passed and I found Pinterest and tried a few patterns and fell in love.

The true turning point in my craft was while attempting a dog sweater pattern. The girth was right, but I needed more length, so I went off the pattern and made do. I was so inspired by the results that I've been crocheting "off the cuff" ever since and loving every minute of it.
