My name is Laura, and I have been drawing and painting animals since childhood. My fascination with the natural world led me to a degree in molecular and cellular biology. However, I soon realized that my true passion is painting, and moved to Chicago to study classical oil painting at Atelier Eftimov. After four years of study, I set off to travel the world and paint, a pursuit I intend to spend a lifetime with. Over time, I have realized that my favorite things to paint are still animals, though they may emerge in more surreal compositions these days :)
I currently live in Chicago with my husband, and have begun a home studio practice to explore the natural world through study and creative illustration. I love to work personally with clients to create the perfect piece that is unique to them. It is my hope that you find a meaningful item for yourself or a loved one in this shop.
