The seller (Galacticat) creates custom artworks based from reference photograph(s) provided by the buyer (you).

The buyer consents to the seller's use of any photograph(s) they may provide as reference and agrees that the rights to the photograph(s) in question belong to them (the buyer) or have evidence of consent from the rights holder of the photograph(s) for the seller's use of them as reference.

The buyer understands that the artwork purchased from the seller is a representation and expression rather than an identical copy of the reference photograph(s) provided by the buyer. The seller will re-create a photograph provided by the buyer in the seller's own unique style using either watercolour paints or digital software (please see individual listings for information on which medium will be used for your purchased artwork). If more than one reference photograph is provided by the buyer, the seller will use the buyer's preferred selection but will also offer their own opinion on which reference photograph will translate well into the seller's own unique style.

The buyer consents to open communication with the seller throughout the creation of their purchased artwork using the buyer's chosen method of correspondence (Etsy messaging, Facebook messaging, or email) upon ordering. It is the responsibility of the buyer to contact the seller with reference photograph(s) and details via the buyer's preferred method of correspondence. It is the buyer's responsibility to check their preferred method of correspondence for any messages/updates from the seller.

Upon completion of the artwork, the seller will post the artwork via Australia Post (selected postal service) to the buyer's postal address provided to Etsy and the seller will send the buyer a dispatch notification through Etsy after which the seller will not use the buyer's preferred method of correspondence for use in any mailing lists or third parties*
The seller does not keep the buyer's postal address the buyer has provided to Etsy for any reason other than the purpose of posting the purchased artwork to the buyer and/or for purposes required for follow up through the selected postal service.
*The buyer may receive updates directly from Etsy regarding sales, shop updates, and automated notifications from individual shops.

The seller will give the option to the buyer to provide a date after which it will be acceptable for the seller to post the ordered artwork on the seller's Etsy and social media accounts (including but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) as an example of their artwork. If a date is not provided, or the buyer does not contact the seller again after receiving their artwork, the seller will give a grace period of 14 days* for the buyer to contact the seller regarding an acceptable posting date before publicly posting the artwork in question.
*exception being holidays; Christmas, Mothers' Day, and Fathers' Day are all considered exceptions and if the buyer specifies that the purchased artwork is related to any of the listed holidays, the seller will wait until specified holiday has passed to post any artwork purchased by the buyer on the seller's Etsy and social media accounts.

The buyer understands that the seller ships via Australia Post and whilst the seller will do everything in their power to get any artwork requiring shipping to the buyer in a pristine condition and timely manner, that any delays or issues that occur after the artwork has been posted is under the control of the selected postal service.
