My watch boxes and jewelry boxes make a unique gift for special occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays or Christmas. They are beautiful, functional and can suit men or women of all ages and they have both a modern and classic feel.
At Galleria Innocente we make contemporary watch and jewellery boxes using a combination of woods such as rare Huon Pine from Tasmania, Mahogany, English Elm, American Black Walnut, Silky Oak and Black Heart Sassafras and powder coated sheet metal or stainless steel. They could be used as jewellery boxes, watch boxes, trinket boxes, keepsake boxes, pencil cases, business card holders or any suitable collectible object
Some boxes are ready to deliver immediately and my made to order boxes can be ready for delivery in 2-3 weeks. All of my boxes can be customised in some way. The powder coated boxes could be made in a different colour, larger or smaller in size or with specific lid decoration, depending on what you would like. The boxes can also be personalised with an inscription engraved onto the stainless steel if it is a stainless steel box or onto a plaque which can be attached to a powder coated box.
They are one of a kind, individually numbered and have a modern, stylish appearance. I use stainless steel fixings to construct the boxes, and they are all lined with velour. These boxes make great gifts and my customers have given them as a gift for anniversaries, house warming, birthdays and weddings. They can be custom made or personalised to suit your requirements or made exactly as you see them on Etsy. I have used other timbers before such as Black Heart Sassafras from Tasmania and I often use ebony or rosewood and resin as decoration or handles for the boxes.

About Galleria Innocente
In 2006 I started making jewelry boxes after my wife Tania told me she was going to purchase one and I decided to make one for her instead. I had the idea of blending wood and metal to create different shapes rather than the standard square boxes i always saw and the flexibility of metal and the beauty of the wood gave birth to my designs. We now specialise in watch boxes and jewelry boxes and offer many options such as different colors, woods and sizes as well as personalisation.

Various timbers are used to create the boxes , Huon Pine, Blackheart Sassafras, English Elm, American Black Walnut and Mahogany
The metal used for the boxes is either powder coated steel or stainless steel and the fittings are stainless steel with chromed brass hinges
The boxes are all lined with velour and individually numbered and I give all the boxes a name as well, usually inspired by how the box looks or a just a feeling they give me when they are finished
Below is the process by which I make the boxes
I shape the steel with a folder or roller depending on the design and then I hand cut and shape the wood to fit the contour of the shaped metal. Then I drill the holes in the metal through which I use the fasteners to attach the metal to the wood. Once I have completed the 2 halves of the box I attach the hinges which connects the two together to form the basic box. I align everything together and then add dividers, valet tray, lid decoration or handle if that design has these parts , then the box is ready for disassembly. The metal is then cleaned , powder coated in the desired colour, I sand the wood back to 600 and then 2 coats of Shellawax is applied to the wood and the fasteners are rubbed back and polished. I then reassemble the box, lining it with velour in the process and finally attach decoration if required. When it is finally together I then number the box, name it and photograph it ready for sale
