Hi there! My name is Lea and I am the founder and owner of Itsy Bitsy Haven, an online shop offering Jewellery Making, Polymer Clay, 3d Printed Cutters and other Craft supplies. We are based here in Sydney, NSW Australia.

I have been making and selling beaded jewelries for more than 15 years and I used to sell my handmade jewelries on mall and company bazaars. It was my side hustle when I was younger and when I was just starting my career in the IT engineering industry.

My love for making accessories has been my significant stress reliever and my source of relaxation in my younger years. It’s like my Zen out of all the chaos in the world.

Amongst the different beading techniques, I was previously fascinated with making wired jewellery as I enjoy how different types (and prices) of beads are put up together making classic and elegant pieces that looks expensive but are totally affordable.

I am a spontaneous person that loves changes and I despise doing the same thing over and over again which is why the pieces that I sold before are unique one piece of item. However, I love challenges and pushing myself to the limit to test how far I can go from there. Imagine me making 150 pieces of same design wired brooches as a giveaway for my wedding. Epic!

When I became a mother, my priorities changed. However, I don’t want to totally get away from the things that I enjoy which is why in 2016, I’ve decided to open my Etsy shop and sell jewellery making supplies. If you ever wonder why I sell supplies instead of end products, it’s simple.. time wise it is feasible and it is my excuse (to my husband) why I keep on buying lots of materials which I can use whenever I have the time and creative juice to do so. Btw, the name Itsy Bitsy Haven is derived from a nursery song that made my son stopped from crying so hard once it started playing.

More than 2 years ago, I tried venturing into making clay accessories so I bought few pieces of cutters from 3 different shops. However, the first few pieces that I bought was either too flimsy, too short (for cutting thick pieces of slab) or had bad quality that it broke in the middle of the leaf. This is when I decided to research and teach myself 3D design to make my own quality cutters and add it in my shop offering alongside my other jewellery making supplies. I made sure that they are affordable for other makers so they can make more products and offer replacement or refund if they are not happy with their purchase. I believe quality doesn’t always have to be too expensive.
