Frequently asked questions
What can I use my wrap for?

Beeswax wraps are great for wrapping sandwiches, cheese, fruit, vegetables and snacks. Beeswax wraps cannot be sterilised so do not use to wrap raw meats. Strongly coloured foods such as beetroot may stain the wrap.

Will the beeswax wrap keep my food fresh?

Beeswax wraps keep your food well sealed, but is still slightly breathable. This is great for keeping your vegetables crisp while preventing your greens from going limp and slimy. I find it particularly good for keeping herbs and lettuce.

How do I clean my wrap?

Wipe or gently rinse your wrap in cool water with a gentle detergent and hang to dry. Avoid all heat sources (including the microwave) as this will melt the wax.

Are the wraps sticky like clingwrap?

My wraps are made from 100% beeswax so you can use the heat of your hands to fold, bend and mold the wraps around your food. Some wraps are made with added tree resin which makes them slightly sticky, but I prefer just the beeswax. Watch the video above to learn ways of folding your wrap to keep your food secure!

How long will my wrap last?

Wraps typically last 6-12 months, depending on the amount it is used. The wrap will become creased with use, this is normal. To renew your wrap, sprinkle grated beeswax over the wrap then place in the oven on baking paper and leave for 10min at 80°C.
