A scientist with a creative mission

Through my career as a marine scientist and working in conservation i have had the privilege of seeing first hand the amazing raw beauty of this planet and the power of nature. My thirst to discover the world around me has led me to capture what i have seen and experienced through art and writing since i was a young girl with my journals lining my bookcase shelves along side books on nature, poetry, art, science, old classics, biographies and a few cherished antiques.

My passion for literature (the great novelists, historians and scientists of eras gone by) and the art of writing and recording life experiences, coupled with my own hunt for the perfect journals has led me to develop my own line of leather journals, diaries, field books and book covers and many more unique items. Using my painting and drawing skills i found i have a 'nack' for tooling unique images into leather as it combines my passion for art and writing to create something useful, personal and unique.

It is my goal to to design and provide 'one off' journals specific to people's needs that identify with their passions and what drives them in a bid to encourage people to document their adventures and discoveries and be creative. In this era of technology, our experiences and memories are posted online in an instant but so easily sucked into the black hole vortex of the internet and forgotten or filed away on a note somewhere. Taking time to write gives you time to reflect and appreciate whilst giving yourself something tangible and beautifully, organically presented that in 50 years time regardless of where technology is, you have a keepsake for you and perhaps an heirloom that will last lifetimes.

Standard shipping through Australia post. If you would like an express order please message me to arrange.

Depending on the country of destination, the goods may be subject to duty and VAT tax. This is the responsibility of the purchaser as the shop cannot accurately estimate the fees and charges payable. All goods will be sent via Australia Post without insurance as this significantly increases the cost of shipping. If you would like to add insurance, please contact me to arrange. If you would like to go with a courier other than Australia Post, this can also be arranged at extra cost.

Customers can look at the variety of options available via the Australia Post website parcel shipment estimation page.
