When Worlds Collide...

This random little niche of Etsy came about in a flash of connecting the dots while sitting in my car... as is SO often the case with these things, right? I'd signed up for an embroidery class at a new local shop to try out their workshop space. I was on my way to my own wood shop where I've been making things with a CNC machine for about 7 years. The idea for these frames popped into my head! "Yes! I could cut there and carve here and pop the frame into the back..." I immediately went to try it and took my samples to the class a few days later.

What's a CNC machine?? Imagine a ping pong table with a computer-controller contraption on the top that moves a router around according to my designs. That's where I start. Then cut out, sand, finish, photograph or ship them out to you!

I'm in love with this idea. It may not be for everyone, but I think it finishes off a hoop of embroidery or cross stitch or even just vintage fabric so nicely. Thanks for being a part of my story. --Kate
