About

Original lino cuts made with love in Melbourne, Australia!

Hello and thank you for visiting my Etsy store!

I am a Scottish artist living and working in Melbourne, Australia. I live in the Eastern suburbs amongst the gum trees, kookaburras and parrots with my partner, young daughter and our beagle puppy.

I studied Fine Art & Tapestry at Edinburgh College of Art, and since graduating I have travelled and lived in many exciting places, became an Art teacher and relocated to Australia.

I realised after our daughter was born that I was yearning to make and to connect with others through my work. I vowed to myself when she was only a few weeks old, that I had to work harder at realising my dream of creating my own work more regularly, and with purpose. If not only to make myself proud, but also to be a good role model for our daughter.

My love of lino relief printmaking started when I was studying to become an Art Teacher in Glasgow. The technique had me totally hooked from the first print I made (even though my first print was terrible!). The hypnotic carving, rhythmical process, rich history and importance of drawing are all really attractive to me. Over the last 8 or so years, I have continued to work with lino printing and continue to be in love with it and the visual possibilities.

I seek inspiration from a wide range of sources, and in particular folk art, patterns, textures, story telling, music, cinema and books that I read.

You can be assured that each print I create is made with love and care. I am often cutting lino and printing when the wee one is napping and in the small house of the morning. I hope you enjoy my work and I would love to hear from you!

Hello and thank you for visiting my Etsy store!

I am a Scottish artist living and working in Melbourne, Australia.

I love working with lino printing! I fell in love with this material when I was training to be an Art teacher back in Glasgow, Scotland. The hypnotic carving and the use of drawing had me hooked since first tried it.

I work from home with my baby girl and beagle puppy for company.

Shipping
All prints will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper, then butchers paper and rolled into a sturdy cardboard postal tube which is sealed with plastic tape. I take great care in preparing my work for postage, and want my artwork to arrive to you in perfect condition.

For orders within Australia I use Australia Post’s regular mail service, unless requested otherwise. Please feel free to contact me about other postal options such as registered mail and next day delivery within Australia.

I will gladly ship anywhere in the world. International orders will be sent through Australia Post’s international Economy Airmail service. Unfortunately once a package has left Australia, it is unable to be tracked using this method. Australia Post offer additional levels of postage including tracking and faster delivery options, which if you are interested in, please email me and I can give you a quote.

Please be aware that buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. Delays due to customs in the buyer's country are out of my control and I appreciate your understanding of this. I will notify the buyer when I ship their item.

I am happy to ship using a courier if you prefer, however, I have limited experience with this and we might need to collaborate through the process!

I try to calculate all shipping costs accurately, and the price of shipping includes postage and packaging costs.
