5 out of 5 starsThis little Galah pot is gorgeous. Creative, handmade, hand painted, it is the perfect size for me to keep a small portion of my Dad’s ashes in so that he can travel on adventures with me. Thank you so much for responding to my request of expedited shipping so swiftly and without hesitation. I had the gorgeous pot in my hands in about a week, even though the estimated shipping date was almost two weeks from purchase date. There are no words as to how appreciative I am of your help during a difficult time, may all your pots be as amazing as this one! Thank you!
About PorterPotsAndArts
Wallace Rockhole Pottery Northern Territory
Wallace Rockhole is a small Arana Aboriginal Community nestled in the foothills of the James Range 120kms west of Alice Springs. The pottery was established by Ken & Glenys Porter in 2011 and is developing into a small cottage industry at the community With the support from Su Brown and her crowdfunding.
The pots are made in stoneware clay, bisc fired then decorated with under-glaze colours, a clear glaze applied and the refired in an oxidising condition in an electric klin.
All of the pottery made at Wallace Rockhole is high fired stoneware (1285c), this makes for a very tough product that is dish washer safe, oven and micro-wave proof.
The Wallace Rockhole Pottery is completely independent of any government funding.
