5 out of 5 starsI've been looking for a replacement for an old silicone trimming bat that is no longer made and this rubber mat from Redzink works great for mugs, bowls and plates. I dampened a plastic bat on my wheel slightly and the Redzink mat stays in place while I trim pots. I apply slight downward pressure on the foot as I trim, sure beats using lumps of clay to secure pots for trimming. Thanks for a nice product, easy transaction and prompt shipping.

3 out of 5 starsI didn't love it for my first go, but will keep persevering as I'm sure I will get the hang of it.

3 out of 5 starsIt's okay but doesn't really grip the pot very well. I found it still keeps tipping during turning. However it could mean I throw my pots quite thin, and don't get enough suction to keep them attached. Any suggestions would be great. Also maybe include some instructions with the product, maybe I'm not doing it right.

Hi Helen - it does take some practice. Not sure why your pots are tipping and what you mean about suction - the pot should be upside down and the top of the mat should be dry. The bottom of the mat is held onto the wheelhead with a small amount of water. Good suggestion about instructions - have you seen the video on www.redzinktools.com? I'll convo you if you need other tips....
