My story begins as a young child being fascinated with the beautiful unfurling fern fronds in my garden. I remember considering their intricate curves and trying to replicate them by drawing them with crayons. It was in that moment that I discovered true peace & contentment. I have been creating ever since.

For many years I travelled, worked & studied various modalities such as holistic counselling, yoga teacher training, Ayurvedic medicine & graphic design. I loved what I was learning but I had a deep longing in my soul to so something more...

In 2009 a beautiful ray of light entered my life in the shape of a baby girl I named Shanti Anahera (meaning Peace Angel in both Sanskrit & Maori). Through mothering her, my heart has cracked open with love & I made the decision to explore what it is that lights me up personally, so that I might one day show her the way.

Late one night I discovered an online mixed media art class and fell instantly in love! I resonated with the idea of creating in layers, of building up a story and using papers, paints, inks, stickers, leaves...all the things I had intuitively created with as a child, to create a meaningful piece of art. I was hooked.

Fast forward a couple of years, countless artworks, experimentation, 'mistakes', sales & even publications later & I find myself in the midst of living my dream- a fulfilling, impassioned & creative life. My daughter is now 8 years old, an avid origami maker & mixed media artist in her own right. Life feels gentle, peaceful & purpose driven.

My humble Etsy store has allowed my Art to fly all across the world & has helped me to connect with some of the most incredible like-minded people I may otherwise not have ever met. It is a joy meeting people worldwide who share a commonality in seeking an inspired & visually pleasing existence!
