Eco-conscious, Turkish travel towels designed with passion and crafted with love!

To our fellow travellers, nomads, backpackers, hiking buddies, campers, holiday-makers, vacationers and beach lovers. You are the reason that we created Sandy Cove Trading Company. As all of you would know, finding practical and durable travel accessories that can stand up to the rigours of travel is no easy task. Like most travellers, we are constantly on the lookout for ways to reduce the size and weight of our luggage.

That's where the Turkish towel comes in!

Turkish towels have been around for centuries and unlike conventional towels, Turkish towels are much lighter and easier to transport. Turkish cotton is exceptionally absorbent which results in a more compact towel without compromising practicality. Due to the light-weight design, Turkish towels dry very quickly and you'll never have to worry about packing damp towels into your luggage again. Aside from being an awesome beach, bath or travel towel, Turkish towels are very versatile and can also be used as a picnic blanket, throw, tablecloth or sarong.

Since our website launch in 2014, we've been working hard designing and developing our very own range of Turkish travel towels to share with the world. Prior to our opening we road tested our Turkish towels for 12 months of backpacking, camping and hiking through Canada, the United States and Central America. Our Turkish towels are made by travellers for travellers. We have rigorously road-tested our products and we promise that you'll treasure yours for years to come.

We are committed to supporting excellent initiatives that improve our world. We donate 10% of all profits to selected charity organisations and our swing tags are made locally from 100% recycled paper and dyed with natural, vegetable based inks.

We love to travel and have taken the time to design our products with our fellow travellers in mind. Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Returns and exchange details
We offer refunds or exchanges on faulty items. To eligible for a refund or exchange on a faulty item you must contact us within 14 days of receiving your item(s).

In the event that you change your mind and would like to exchange your product for a different style or colour, please contact us. The product must be unused and in its original condition. Please note that exchanges may incur additional shipping charges.
We accept all Etsy payments including all major credit cards, Paypal, Etsy gift cards and Apple pay.
We aim to ship all orders within 1-2 business days of completed payment. Domestic orders are sent via Australia Post Parcel Post. Express postage is available for domestic orders for an additional fee.

International orders are sent via Australia Post Economy Airmail. Tracking is available for international orders for an additional fee. We are not responsible for any taxes or duties charged on delivery in your respective country.

Care instructions

1. Washing
We recommend washing your towel before use for best results. Avoid using fabric softeners and do not use bleach.

2. Drying
We recommend line drying for your towel. If you need to use a dryer, use a lower heat setting to avoid damaging the cotton.

3. Ironing
Regular ironing, steam or dry, may be performed on a medium setting (150C).

4. Maximising Absorbency
Adding one cup of white vinegar to your wash periodically will help to remove residue and improve the softness and absorbency of your towel.

5. Pulled Threads/unravelled tassels
A pulled thread will not cause your towel to unravel, simply cut off the thread with a pair of scissors. If a tassel becomes unravelled during washing/drying, it can be easily re-tied.
