About SewQuirkyAustralia

Sew Quirky aims at inspiring the young & young at heart, with thoughtfully designed sewing patterns and handmade items.

"The world is but a canvas to the imagination," Henry David Thoreau.
I have always loved this quote and believe it is a huge aspect of my business. I look at the world a little different, more colourful and highly textural. My patterns and designs embrace these qualities. I am extremely passionate about inspiring others to sew and create their own amazing handmade items! My aim is to inspire the young & young at heart, with unique designs that are achievable & interesting for a variety of skill levels.

This desire to inspire first started when I decided to attend University to become a High School Textiles Teacher. Teaching others fills my heart with happiness. I find it so rewarding to see their faces light up, so proud of what they create! I established my handmade business whilst I was studying and would attend markets, meeting an array of interesting people. When I was teaching, I entered a Young Designer Diva Competition and I won! In 2013 I fulfilled the internship with Blessington, a huge sewing machine distributing company of Singer, Husqvarna Viking, PFAFF, Handi Quilt & AccuQuilt. I was transferred to Brisbane the following year & now travel around Australia attending craft shows, teaching & encouraging people to sew at every chance! I also create patterns for the AccuQuilt Australia Blog & intocraft.com.

I want to inspire more people to sew through my fun & quirky sewing patterns and show the world my passion for creativity!
Welcome to Sew Quirky..
