Ik ben Nathalie en ik run de winkel Song Thread.

Ik ben muzikant en geef muziekles aan kinderen.
Mijn tweede liefde is om te creëren, vooral als het te maken heeft met draad en stoffen.
Ik hou van de overvloed aan kleuren, ontwerpen en oneindige dingen die je ermee kunt maken.
In mijn dagelijks leven gebruik ik veel draagtassen om boeken van de ene les naar de andere te krijgen. Daarom heb ik besloten om ze speciaal te maken, details en kleuren toe te voegen om ze leuker, unieker en herkenbaarder te maken. Een van mijn favorieten is de vleermuistas omdat hij vrolijk aan mijn schouder hangt terwijl hij mijn boeken voor me draagt.

Een andere vezelkunst waar ik van hou is kruisstiksels. Ik leerde als kind de basis van handsteken op school. Ik herinner me nog de sporttas die we moesten maken met onze initialen en alle verschillende steken die we moesten gebruiken. Tegelijkertijd vond ik een aantal kruissteekwerken van mijn moeder en zette ze voort, ze hangen nu in haar keuken. Naarmate de tijd verstreek begon ik mijn eigen patronen te maken en nu verkoop ik op Etsy.

Mijn grootste droom zou zijn dat mijn kruissteekpatronen in kruissteekwinkels over de hele wereld worden verkocht en dat mensen gewoon wachten op een nieuw ontwerp. En om mijn draagtassen op straat te zien zoals mensen ze gebruiken.

I'm Nathalie and I run the shop Song Thread.

I'm a musician and teach music to children.
My second love is to create, especially if it has to do with thread and fabrics.
I love the abundance in colours, designs and infinite things you can make with them.
In my daily life I use a lot of tote bags to get books from one lesson to the other. That's why I decided to make them special, add details and colors to make them more fun, unique and recognizable. One of my favourites is the bat tote as it happily hangs from my shoulder as it carries my books for me.

Another fiber art I love is cross stitching. I learned the basics of hand stitching in school as a child. I still remember the sports bag we had to make with our initials and all of the different stitches we had to use. At the same time I found some of my mother's cross stitch works and continued them, they now hang in her kitchen. As time went bye I started to make my own patterns and now I am selling on Etsy.

My biggest dream would be that my cross stitch patterns will be sold in cross stitch shops all over the world and that people are just waiting for a new design. And to see my tote bags on the street as people use them.
