Creative Life
I’m interested in everything (seriously, it’s a problem), so when I found myself laid off during the Recession, it wasn’t clear to me what I should do. After 15 years in operations management, what was clear was that if I went back to work for a corporation, it would be kicking and screaming. I did a little of this, a little of that. I made beautiful things made of free natural materials found around my place and other peoples castoffs. Built dog houses and furniture. I fixed my house, making it lovely and unique. During the process of massive home improvement, I became obsessed with drawing my house. First for practical reasons, then for aesthetic ones. With CAD, with ink, with paint. Then I found Etsy, a place that not only embraced my creativity but encouraged it. A place where I could paint not just my home, but everybody else’s home too, and share the other things I make right along side.
These days, you’ll find me painting every day. And more than just houses. Landscapes, figures, portraits... I paint your best days and your dreams, and I am so grateful that you include me. I can’t wait to find out what my next painting will be!
