The double pinky promise that started a shop..

Raised amongst the boughs of a mighty mulberry tree, we are siblings united by a love of hand-crafting. Inspired by a family of menders, makers, growers and world-shifters we strive to create pieces that tread lightly on our planet, which is reaching its limit. We use found, rescued, home-grown or sustainably and ethically sourced materials to make treasures that will see you through many seasons and that when you are done can be composted or repurposed.

It's hard to pinpoint that first spark that set what we've now named The Mulberry Two in motion.. maybe it was making mud pies under our giant mulberry tree as kids, or cooking funny face shaped pikelets on Friday afternoons but as siblings we've been creating together always.

Now we are grown up it can be harder to get together and nurture that creative spark, so recently we made a double pinky promise with each other to make it a priority, and we named this The Mulberry Two.

Because we are focused on being sustainable and following our own creative journeys you'll see many crafts cross the pages of our shop, as we revive old skills and learn new ones, and make use the resources that are available to us at the time.

  • The Mulberry Two

    Owner, Makers, Designer

We are two siblings, Rosalie and Lucy, aka The Mulberry Two! We try our hands at many crafts and share them with you here. Many of our creations are one off pieces formed as we respond to the materials. We hope you enjoy browsing through our shop.

  • Rosalie

    Designer, Maker, Shipper

Rosalie thinks and creates in the beautiful Blue Mountains, NSW. When not ‘making’ Rosalie helps people with intellectual disability learn about relationships and dating while also working on a PhD about growing up with cerebral palsy in Bangladesh.

  • Lucy

    Designer, Maker, Shipper

Lucy creates from her home workshop, in the far-outer suburbs of Sydney, surrounded by Australian bushland. When Lucy isn't dreaming of spoon designs, she is busy mumming, looking after native bees, baking and exploring nature with her little tribe.

Frequently asked questions
Our packaging

We use packaging that is environmentally friendly and compostable.
Our postage boxes are sourced from Brisbane, where they are made from Australian made 100% recycled cardboard. Our parcels are padded with woodchips (a by-product of our carving – they may even be from the item you have ordered), and are carefully wrapped in cloth naturally dyed by us.
Because we take care to use paper based tapes to secure your parcel, once you have finished re-using the packaging, it is fully compostable or recyclable.

How do I care for my item?

We will provide care instructions with your purchase. We want your item to live well and last a long time; a little bit of TLC will go a long way.

Our items as gifts

We love special occasions and surprises so if you want to send our items as a gift you’ve come to the right place! Please leave us a message in the “Message to seller” box so that we know the occasion. You can also write a personal note in the “Message to seller” box that we will include in the package. We will make sure to exclude the receipt and send the parcel directly to the address you nominate.

When will my order arrive?

Orders will be delivered to most parts of Australia within 4 to 5 days although some locations will take a little longer such as Cairns, Townsville, Darwin, Perth, and rural areas.
