We pride ourselves on honesty and providing full descriptions of any flaws or issues. We will never misrepresent anything, but we aren't perfect and may miss the occasional small flaw here and there (we are pretty thorough though as you may of noted in our condition descriptions). We document all our dresses in photos not only for your reference but also take extra photos to record thoroughly the dress condition for ours also.

A refund will be given only for items that have been grossly misrepresented in error by oursleves. The item must be returned in the original condition and sent back with tracking. Contact must made within 2 days of receiving the item. Postage will be at buyers own expense. Refunds will not be given due to issues caused by buyers own fault e.g. machine washing a vintage dress when clearly it is required to be dry cleaned, incorrect fit due to buyers fault with measurements, buyer not reading the listing fully, buyer wearing the dress etc


Please note that under NO circumstances will a return, refund or partial refund be provided or offered for things that are of standard construction or design of vintage items. For example: Raw seams - these were extremely common in older dresses.

If you are new to buying vintage please research it before purchasing to get an idea as to what to expect or ask your friendly shop owner for more information.

Please note Layaway/Layby options are currently only available for a maximum period of 2 weeks. The item will be split into 2 payments with the first payment via PayPal and the final payment check out via Etsy with the shipping fee also added.

We will Hold an item for 24 hours with no deposit. After that time if we have not heard anything we will put the item back out for sale. We will not contact you to confirm. If you place an item on hold it is your responsibility to follow it up with us.

We ship domestically using either prepaid satchels (500g, 3kg and 5kg) for items under $80 or if the value of the item exceeds this, then we will add on top of the postage signature on delivery. If the value of the item is high, insurance to that same value will also be added.

We do offer international shipping but please note the following:

We will only post using methods that have tracking.

Please be aware that on high value items insurance to that same value will also be added.

While we love packaging thing beautifully, to save you money on shipping costs by reducing the weight, most international items will be sent only bagged. This is to reduce the weight of the item to save you money where we can so please don't leave lower feedback based on item packaging.


International shipping prices have increased. To save delays on purchasing an item and the need to take each item to the post office to be weighed and the shipping costs estimated prior to purchase, all international shipping costs are set to the 500g-1kg weight fees. Once the items has been packaged and posted if they fall into the lower weight category fee then any shipping overages will be refunded. Please feel secure in that we will only charge the actual cost, we will never charge more.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Import duties, taxes/Customs charges are NOT included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility and they may be imposed upon the delivery of your parcel by your local Customs/Postal office.
Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying. Please do not request modifications to the customs forms. This is an official document and therefore not subject for negotiation. Thank you for your understanding.

Please note measurements are taken while garments are lying flat and then doubled. These are the maximum measurements of the garment, please leave the required room for comfortable fit. The best way to see if something will fit is by comparing the measurements to a similar item you already have that fits you well.

Due to small manniquin size please be aware that some items may be pegged back to fit the model.

Most dresses are pictured with a crinoline underneath to bring out the fullness of the skirt - this is not included in the sale.

Please note that it was typical of the 40s 50s eras to have raw seaming on the inside of the clothing - it was either straight cut or pinked (no overlocking and very rarely finished with ribbon or binding). This means that there will be typical wear to these areas on the inside of the clothing e.g. threads and fraying. This does not affect the wearablity of the item.


IMPORTANT - Please Read:
Please remember all vintage clothing is up to and over 50 years old, whether previously worn or new old stock you cannot expect as new condition.

Please note vintage clothing has been stored for a long time, some dresses could use a dry cleaning freshen up due to storage. Under NO circumstances should you machine wash vintage clothing unless recommended by the experts (Dry Cleaners) and then preference would be given to a very gentle hand wash. Machine washing is NOT recommended for vintage clothes and you wash them at your own risk.
