Printables . Planning . Productivity
Managing people and projects is a lot of work, no matter how experienced you are. From hiring and performance reviews to giving executive presentations and drafting team emails, managers are switching modes at a dizzying (sometimes terrifying) pace!
As a design thinker, consultant and corporate survivor, I spent years wishing for smarter tools to help me improve my own performance as a manager. Research in neuroscience and behavioral economics is teaching us to become better prepared for the limits of the human brain. Great prototyping on new management and behavioral methods has been surfacing over the past 10 years, but HR tools have been slow to capitalize on it. So I began to rely on creating my own tools and worksheets for easy reference in order to survive the daily crush that was my life as a corporate multi-tasker. (You know there is no such thing as multi-tasking, right?)
Working Theorem is a way to share those tools with new and experienced managers alike. My goal has been to re-imagine generic and uninspiring HR forms into the simple and beautifully designed tools that I had always dreamed about.
If you struggle with management tools scattered across web applications and file folders in the cloud, you’ll love these printable reference and planning pages that you can literally keep at your fingertips. Have fun turning these basic templates into your own inspirational resources.
As I keep up on new research and methods, I will be tweaking and adding to the content. Every manager has a different leadership style, and your needs will certainly vary according to your new teams and new projects over time. You can customize your binder with mini-inserts and add-ons to grow with your management needs.
Stay inspired and lead your teams to greatness! Get printing. Get planning. Get busy.
