I absolutely adore and love this beautifully made Brigid Cross! The cross was packed well and wrapped so perfectly! The shipping was quick also! I have been loving Nicole’s amazing work for many years and adoring her beautiful work and I am so happy to finally own my own Brigid Cross ❤️The craftsmanship of Nicole’s work is incredible and the beautiful purple color on this cross I just love so much! It’s so perfect for me! And my dogs name is Brigid so this also makes this so special for me! I thank you Nicole for your amazing work and I will always treasure it! Nicole is a loving and very special seller on Etsy and I highly recommend her shop!

The Art of Gifting Brizel Handcrafts

I've been making unique silk tapestries since 2005… the year silk sari yarn found its way into eco-friendly venues. I stood there mesmerized by its bright colors fully appreciating the importance of its upcycled nature: reclaimed silk sari loom warps from the weaving industry transformed into vibrant art yarn. I left the fair with two skeins and for the first time in 30 years dug up my childhood crochet needle…

Despite its beauty, in the early days silk sari yarn was thick, lumpy, unevenly spun & very unforgiving to work with. As the product became more popular, Fair Trade spinning co-operatives were formed in India & Nepal in order to meet the growing market demand and in that process some of the yarns began to be spun more evenly & in more diverse colors too. Banana fibers also became available in a similarly silk-like but vegan yarn and I began to incorporate those as well as cotton & hemp into my work.

Brizel's tapestry work is inspired by the natural world and firmly rooted by an admiration & love of French Impressionism, from Monet to Van Gogh. Combining different yarns together has created a newfound depth in color which has allowed my silk tapestry work to express itself in a more desired Impressionistic style.

In order to create Brizel silk tapestries with woven-like rug-thicknesses, each silk yarn loop is pulled in tightly one at a time... sometimes arduously but always with very satisfying results. With a palette of silk sari threads from India & Nepal and embellished with awesome vintage or stunning modern art Czech glass buttons… Brizel's treasure art boxes, dry vases and other silk tapestry artwork continues to flourish year after year allowing me to present you with completely unique handmade home decor gifts to delight you and your gifting recipients.

Perfect as a special occasion gift... celebrate Imbolc, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Wedding Anniversaries, I Love You Every Day, Birthdays, Christmas, Hostess and Housewarmings events.

Brizel's items are gift wrapped and ship out via first class mail at no added charge.

If you have any concerns or questions about a product- please address them *before* you make a purchase to ensure they meet your requirements. Contact me - it’s my pleasure to assist you!

There are currently two ways to process your payments- 1- through Paypal or 2- through Etsy's Payments system. If you wish to make your payment via mail, I am happy to accept a money order from the post office. Please Contact Me so that I may set up that third payment option for you.

The speediest way to check out is with items from my shop only in your cart then pay for them through Paypal. You do not need a Paypal account in order to pay through Paypal's secure system... you can select that method and check out *as their guest* paying with your credit card.

Etsy's Payments system is more diverse because it has more options but payments may take longer to process with their third party processor. If you choose to check out with multiple shops at the same time... or you select another form of payment than Paypal - your payment will go thru via Etsy Payments and may take up to 48hrs to process. More often than not though it goes through right away.

I will be in touch once your payment has cleared to give you a ship out date which will be approx. 1-2 business days after the payment has processed.

PS... If your shipping address is within California... tax will automatically be added to your invoice.
Two to three times a week!

... your purchases go out via First Class mail and always include Tracking within the USA. As soon as your order ships out... you will receive an email from me with your Tracking number.

If you are in a hurry, please upgrade to Priority Class Mail which is available during the check-out process.

... for supporting small artist made in the USA.
