About

Modern cross stitch patterns

I discovered that colouring squares in a grid can make a pretty picture very, very early on. Not long after, my mother introduced me to cross stitch. And that was it: lots of fun ever since!

Knitting and beading came along over the years and I have been designing charts for my own projects from my early teens.

My work can start on paper and, some times, straight onto the computer, but I take a fairly laborious approach as I feel I loose a bit of control of my own creativity if I use a purpose made program. It may be just the child in me still wanting to colour in little squares, but I don't find satisfaction in editing, copying and pasting and the likes. It has to be handmade, it has to take patience and time and dedication. And, most importantly for me, there has to be that 'hurray' moment when I feel I'm finished with each piece!

I hope you like them as much as I do!

Creativity is a way of life and crafting is a natural way to express it. I learnt it from my mother. My daughter is now learning from me. It makes us happy, it makes us fulfilled. And I'd love you to join us in this journey!
