Here it is. An organized mess. My tidy tempest. My artistic utoipia.

I think kids deserve beautiful art!

My brand began as a 30 day challenge I made for myself while working as an administrative assistant. I would come home at night with the angst to create. So each night I would doodle or sketch something and post it to my social media account. Slowly I got feedback from friends who wanted to buy some of the pieces I created. Long story short, two years later, I had my son, Steele, and am now able to work from home and creating, leaving administration behind! #hiphiphooray

My hands need movement, they need texture. I need fat ugly brush strokes and asymmetry. Slowly through lots of struggle and introspection I've come to realize that I'm not aligned if my art is.

I enjoy taking what might seem ugly to the ordinary person and turning it on its head. I paint and sketch and brainstorm with rose colored glasses so when I have a finished product for my customers- they don't have to imagine it any differently. I want my pieces to inspire them to see the ordinary as unordinary.

It's a vulnerable thing to take your art, put it out there, and slap a price tag on it. It's like a singer/songwriter playing for tips. It's a part of you, that you love & your dream is to make money doing it! No shame in that, right? No shame, but there is a cost to it and a piece of your creative privacy is lost & when you put a value on your work, it becomes less valuable.

So, here it is. An organized mess. My tidy tempest. My artistic utoipia.
