    About

Offering unique, beautiful and high quality antique reproduction jewellery.

I have been offering unique antique assemblage jewelry designs on Etsy since 2009. In recent years, as the precious antique elements that I usually work with have become more and more scarce, I decided to open up my personal collection for reproduction.

At Empire de Talaru my desire is to offer you unique and beautiful adornments that have the look and spirit of antique treasures, but without the antique price tag.

Most of my reproduction elements are made in sterling silver. They are moulded and cast by the best artisans in the country. As such my reproductions are highly detailed and of exceptional quality.

All finished designs are hand crafted by me in my studio in Brisbane, Australia. I use traditional jewelry techniques such as filing, soldering, buffing and wire wrapping.

I do all of my own construction work and I can work to quick turnaround times and offer fair prices for pieces that might cost more elsewhere.

All designs are made-to-order which allows me to make any personalised adjustments while also keeping costs down by not holding bulk stocks of expensive precious metals.

    Frequently asked questions

    Custom and personalised orders

I welcome custom orders. After we discuss and agree on a design I request full payment up front. I will send you photos of your item(s) prior to shipping to ensure you are happy. Returns are not accepted for custom orders.

    Sizing details

All measurements are approximate and may vary slightly (mm). When the buyer chooses a size at checkout, such as for a ring, I cannot be responsible for errors by the buyer, such as choosing the wrong size. If the buyer chooses the wrong size, and re-sizing is required the buyer can source a local jewelery to do this, or I will quote my fee to re-size.

    Gift wrapping and packaging

All orders will come beautifully, and safely, wrapped. I can add a hand written gift note if you are buying a gift. Just tell me the details in the 'message to seller' section when you check out.

    Wholesale availability

Sorry but I do not offer wholesale pricing. I am a retail store and sell direct. Re-sellers are welcome to purchase at the listed price and re-sell.

    Discounts

Sorry but I do not offer discounts. I will be happy to arrange a layaway for you if you are unable to pay in full up front.

    Layaway Policy

I welcome layaway should you wish to pay for your order by instalments. For made to order items, item construction will not commence until 75% of item value has been paid.

I require 25% deposit to hold the order. I will then accept 3 further instalments of 25% each. Timing of payments is flexible, however I require full payment within 2 months from first payment.

    Design reproduction prohibited

All designs and elements in the designs are proprietary to Empire de Talaru. Reproduction in any form is not permitted. You are welcome to use the components in my designs to make a new or varied design for yourself, but you cannot recast or in any other way reproduce my designs or the individual elements in my designs.

    Returns policy

Should the item arrive faulty or unusable in any way, I will rectify the issue for you. You need to contact me within 3 days of the item's arrival (determined by the delivery date registered by postal services) to discuss the issue. Depending on what the required solution will be, I reserve the right to make repairs myself, outsource repairs or accept the item back for a full refund. I do not offer partial refunds in any circumstances. I do not accept returns for reasons of buyer remorse or error...but I will work with you to achieve a mutually satisfying solution whatever the concern may be.

You're in Australia - will my package make it?

I have been selling on Etsy for over seven years. Through all of my shops I have conducted over 2,000 transactions with my valued customers. In none of those cases has a parcel ever gone missing in the mail, nor has anything arrived damaged. Rest assured your order will be safe, and I comply with all consumer protection laws to ensure a safe and satisfactory transaction for all parties concerned.

    Refunds

In general I do not provide refunds unless the item is faulty or not as described. In these circumstances I reserve the right to repair or replace the item before giving a refund. This is at my discretion. If a return is accepted I will not refund original or return shipping fees. Please choose carefully, especially paying attention to dimensions and ring sizes. I do not refund for customer error, especially after an item has shipped. If an adjustment can be made to rectify sizing errors by you, I will do so but may charge a fee.
