About

I am inspired by the goings on in the natural world.
Little squirrels in my studio window well.

I channel my inner child daily.

I get inspiration from the natural world. I am fascinated by the many shapes and sizes of our fellow creatures, their unique habits and special roles in our complex world.

My goal is to incorporate those special features into my toys without turning the creatures into cartoon renditions of the originals, while creating playthings that will delight the giver and the recipient.

Before I was a toymaker, I was a day care provider for 10 years. I invited many children into my home over those years, creating an environment that stimulated imaginative play and encouraged the use of fine and gross motor skills. That means I let them play without a television or radio in the background, had a nice backyard for them to explore, and provided natural, gender neutral toys that inspired imaginative play.

I am proud to be a part of the handmade community and I value the personal interactions I have here on etsy.

Everything in my shop is designed, made, packaged and shipped by me.


I learned a lot of my sewing skills from my mom, who sewed a lot of our clothes.
