Announcement    Hi Everyone, Market Day is the 4th Sunday of the month at the Hills Upmarket, Castle Hill Showground, NSW so hope to see you there if you are in the area.
SHOULD YOU ALTERNATE THE SKEINS OF YARN WHEN MAKING A PROJECT? Yes when you are knitting with more than 1 skein of the same colour you should alternate between skeins as every hand dyed skein is unique. Choose the most varied skeins to use at the same time. To alternate simply work 2 rows, drop first yarn, pick up new yarn, twist and carry the strand up the side instead of cutting off the yarn each time. When working in the round just drop the yarn and pick up the next, alternating every round.

Happy knitting/crocheting!!

You can never have too much colour in your life

A little bit about me. I don't remember learning to knit but my Mum tells me I was about 4 or 5. My Grandmother Isabel was always knitting and I think I just absorbed her love of all things woolly. Being left-handed was a challenge for anyone teaching me back in the Sixties!! My Mum, Sister and I have always got lots of unfinished projects stashed away in various hidey holes around our homes. I conquered Crochet only a few years ago after I taught myself by watching left-handers on YouTube.

I have always been fascinated by the whole dyeing process and have finally taken the plunge to open my own Etsy Shop and have my first market stall at The Hills UPmarkets in Castle Hill, Sydney. Hopefully there will be many more to follow.

As the headline says, you can never have too much colour in your life.....

I sincerely hope you enjoy my yarns.
