Worked for years as a designer in publishing, and was longing to work with something tangible, tactile ... something I could rub between my fingers. I love that a tea towel is both a utilitarian object and the perfect canvas for some good design.

Returns and exchanges
I want you to be completely happy with your ink & weave purchase. In the unlikely event that you are not 100% thrilled with your lovely linen tea towel or apron, PLEASE let me know.

As they are linen, a natural fabric made from the flax fibre, and screen printed in small runs (not churned out of a factory), the tea towels and aprons will have individual quirks and variations. Those tea towels in the natural unbleached flax colour may vary in shade from that pictured. They will shrink a little after first wash, and while the the water-based inks are really well heat-set, they will fade a bit over time with use and repeated laundering.

All that said, though, if you are at all disappointed, please get in touch and we can sort something out :) No time limits!

Credit card and Paypal.
Shipping
All orders are shipped via standard Australia Post. Orders are usually shipped within 1-3 business days of ordering and no more than 4 days.

Within Australia: shipping on orders of more than two items is FREE with tracking included - the coupon code FREEPOST must be applied at cart stage.
All apron orders have automatic tracking, but please be aware that orders of one or two tea towels DO NOT. Tracking on these packages can be added by selecting the upgrade (from pull-down in cart).

Outside of Australia: please allow 3-14 working days for delivery. Standard shipping fee does NOT include tracking. If you would like tracking for your package, please select the upgrade (from pull-down in cart).

Very rarely a package vanishes into the void - if you have not received your order after 3 weeks from the date it was shipped, a refund or replacement will gladly be arranged. No conditions!

ABOUT LINEN
Linen is both incredibly beautiful and practical. For all of you who love it, (as I do, obviously): a little bit about linen, and why linen tea towels and aprons are the BEST!

Linen is woven from the fibre of the flax plant, a crop grown in cooler climates. As far as I know, flax crops in Australia are grown mostly for linseed or flaxseed oil, with flax for linen grown mainly in Europe.

Linen is renowned for its spectacular durability and functionality. (The Latin species name for flax is usitatissimum, which translates to "most useful"). Flax fibres are two to three times as strong as those of cotton, and linen cloth is capable of both rapidly absorbing and yielding moisture. It can absorb as much as 20% of its dry weight before feeling wet, and then dries out quickly.

Linen also possesses rare bacteriological properties and resists bacterial growth. It does not pill, or leave lint all over your lovely glassware. When treated for marks and stains, the flax fibre releases dirt readily (oxygen soakers are the best). After years of use and laundering linen will remain fresh and stain-free - and become gorgeously soft and supple.

Your ink & weave kitchen linens will work hard and stay looking great for a many years, long after those cheap nasty cotton tea towels and aprons have become stained, smelly and worn out.

Just saying ...
