Handmade raw and tumbled mineral, broken China and glass jewellery | Fossicked and found in Australia

--- Humble beginnings ---

I've always had an artistic streak, whether that be through creating cabochons or freeforms from rocks and minerals or collecting vintage items such as buttons. Creating artworks, bringing life to old objects and working with raw natural materials is a way of bringing color into my life.

My tiny townhouse is full to the brim with fossicked-for finds, whether they be old broken items set for repurposing or massive pieces of quartz dusted in sparkly druzy layers. Each item I use in my items is unique and has its own story and has been carefully cleaned cut and created by hand.

--- Come on a journey with me ---

I want to take you on a fossicking journey with me in the form of my jewellery. I want you to discover where these rocks and minerals were found, how they were found and how far they have come. To me knowing where minerals come and the journey they have travelled from the earth to a piece of jewellery is just as important as the item itself.

Vintage buttons are sourced by myself and are meticulously cleaned to bring them back to life. I hope that vintage buttons in the form of earrings can be used for years to come - this is ensured through the use of industrial strength adhesives and stainless steel earring findings.

Upcycling and repurposing is an important concept I hold close to my heart. Some creations will be created using upcycled materials whether that be earrings made from disassembled chandelier pieces, pendants made from broken and worn China, water worn sea glass earrings or copper wire from old televisions.

--- Life & Love ---

I am a full-time scientist who loves to unwind by making unique items for you. I find that integrating aspects of science (namely geology) into my work just fits perfectly. In my spare time my fiance and I love to travel the countryside of SE QLD and NSW in search of new rocks and minerals. We collect sapphires, zircon as well as large mineral specimens too. We welcome you to travel with us through the jewellery and mineral specimens listed in this shop!

Rock on! ;)

If you have a change of mind regarding an item I am also happy to provide a full refund, provided that the item is returned to me in the condition that it was mailed to you and within 14 days of purchase. Please mail the item back to me using the postage method that I used when mailing to you.
Currently Paypal and Direct Checkout are my accepted methods of payment.

Domestic orders (within Australia) will be posted using Australia Post - standard postage ($2 for large letter up to 125 grams in weight).

If you would like a faster method of postage (such as Express Postage) or Registered Post please feel free to message me and I can provide you with an updated price.

Items which are greater than or equal to $100 in cost will automatically be mailed using Registered Post to ensure that they can be tracked whilst in transit.

I will also happily combine shipping for you if you purchase multiple items from me. The cost will depend on the size and weight of the items. Please feel free to message me and I can provide you with a quote.

Generally I can fit:
- Several small items (e.g. up to four pairs of earrings) in a large letter envelope (<2cm thickness) up to 125 grams
- Several larger items (>125 grams) in 500g Australia Post Satchel (for $8.00 including tracking) or;
- Several larger (and heavier items) in an Australia Post 3kg Satchel (for $11.70 including tracking).

For international orders I ship using Australia Post. This method of postage takes approximately 15 - 30 business days without tracking. I can generally fit several pairs of earrings (approximately 4 pairs of earrings based on weight of minerals) in a large letter for $2.75 (up to 50 grams weight).

If you would prefer a faster method of shipping or tracking please message me and I can provide you with a quote.

Items which are greater than or equal to $100 in cost will automatically be mailed using Pack and Track International ($23.20) to ensure that they can be tracked whilst in transit.

Additionally I can combine shipping on some items (based on size and weight). Please feel free to message me about the items you're interested in an I can provide you with a quote.

If your country is not listed on the item listing please feel free to message me for a postage quote. I am currently working on offering more specific postage options to more countries in each of my listings, but generally a flat rate of $2.75 covers most (if not all) countries.

Customs and duty fees / taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. I do not mark items as gifts when I complete customs forms as this is against Australian law.

Earrings, ribbon bows and other small jewelry items will be mailed in small sturdy card envelopes. I strive to keep my shipping costs down by not using decorative gift boxes. Please be aware that if the item exceeds 2cm in thickness the item will need to be posted as a parcel and will incur higher postage costs.

If you are interested in gift wrapping or boxes please feel free to message me for a quote.

I visit the post office several times a week so your item will be mailed out ASAP once payment has been received and a shipping address has been provided. In terms of postage times these will vary dependent on your location. Approximate shipping timeframes are as follows:

Within Australia: Approx 5 - 10 business days (Australia Post)
International: Approx 15 - 30 business days (Australia Post).
